PENERAPAN METODE JIGSAW UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI MENENTUKAN PERSAMAAN GARIS LURUS KELAS VIII SMPN 10 PEKANBARU

Abstract


This study aims to determine the application of the jigsaw method to improve student learning
outcomes in the material for determining straight-line equations of class VIII of Pekanbaru 10
Middle School. This research was conducted at Pekanbaru 10 Middle School. The subjects studied were
class VIII students of SMPN 10 Pekanbaru. The number of students 39 students consists of 18 male
students and 21 female students. The technique used to collect data in this study is a test,
Non-test (Observation / observation, and documentation). This research was carried out by applying
the jigsaw method which has been carried out in two cycles, it can be concluded that learning by
applying the jigsaw method has a positive impact in improving the ability to determine
straight-line equations in class VIII of Pekanbaru 10 SMPN 10. This is evident from the increase in
the first cycle of the class average of 76.67 in the second cycle to
88.08, for the learning completeness of students in the first cycle to be 56.41%, and the second
cycle test to 94.87%. The conclusion that the application of the jigsaw method can improve the
determination of straight-line equations in class VIII students of SMPN 10 Pekanbaru
